After graduating in 1995 he spent 5 years in retail management and continued to freelance, doing photo jobs for friends and family. But Gosney knew one day that he’d have his own studio. In 2000 he took the plunge and enrolled at the Ohio Institute of Photography in Kettering. During that time he also applied his freelance experience to studio work. Spending 4 years as a manager and head photographer for a Dayton photography firm.

He graduated from the Institute in January of 2004 and opened Ken Gosney Photography in September of the same year. After a few months at his first location on South Street, Ken opened the current facility at 12 West Main in May 2005.

The studio is highly visible and easily accessible for families and downtown clients. Gosney specializes in wedding photography and senior portraits. However he also services a diverse clientele, taking lots of family/children portraits and sports photography. His downtown location brings in commercial opportunities with local businesses. The studio also sells wedding invitations and accessories and provides custom framing and other photo gift items.

Ken is married to Teresa, his wife of 10 years. They are both lifetime Clinton County residents. The family moved to Wilmington in 2000 and Teresa gave birth to their daughter, McKena in 2004. Teresa assists in running the studio in addition to being a full time mother and homemaker.

Ken takes allot of pride in his photography work and running of the studio. He is a very hard worker with a passion and drive not seen by too many people these days. He sets goals very high and diligently works to achieve those goals.

In the future Ken will continue to provide high quality photography to all his clients at an affordable price. One of his major goals is to make his studio a one stop shop for weddings. His idea is to have a reception hall with an onsite studio in the Wilmington area. This facility will be available for weddings and other special events. He also plans to offer both a catering service and an event coordinator. Ken is determined to achieve these goals within the next 5 years.
