Ken Gosney Photography opened our doors in September of 2004 on South Street. After just a few prosperous months at that location, we expanded to our current location at 12 West Main Street in May of 2005. The studio is highly visible and easily accessible for all its clients. We specialize in wedding photography and senior portraits; however we also service a diverse clientele, taking lots of family, children, and sports portraits. The studio also has a full line of wedding invitations and accessories, and provides custom framing and other photo gift items.

The studio is owned and operated by Ken and Teresa Gosney - lifetime Clinton County residents. Ken and Teresa wed in September of 1996, and moved to Wilmington in 2000. Teresa gave birth to their first daughter, McKena Grace in 2004. Their second daughter, Kendyn Faith, was born in August 2008. The Gosneys are very down to earth people just doing what they love to do!

Ken Gosney Photography will continue to provide high quality photography to all of our clients at an affordable price. We intend to transform the studio into a one stop shop for weddings in the Wilmington area - a full service reception hall, catering service, event coordinator, and an onsite studio. This location will be available for weddings and other special events. These goals are set, and the Gosneys will strive to make this a reality in the near future.

Ken Gosney
Owner-Photographer

Ken Gosney’s infatuation with photography began while he was still in high school. Originally from Blanchester, he took pictures for the high school yearbook. He did so well that he found himself invited to shoot his first wedding at the age of 17. After graduating in 1995, he spent five years in retail management and continued to freelance, doing photo jobs for friends and family. He always knew that one day he would have his own studio. In 2000 he took the plunge and enrolled in the Ohio Institute of Photography in Kettering, Ohio. During that time he also applied his freelance experience to studio work, spending four years as a manager and head photographer for a Dayton photography studio. He graduated from the Institute in January of 2004 and opened Ken Gosney Photography in September of the same year.

Ken takes a lot of pride in his work and running of the studio. He is a very hard worker with a passion and drive not seen by too many people these days. He sets his goals very high, and diligently works to achieve these goals. Ken is a skilled photographer who captures photographs that best represent his clients. He brings a style of photography that is fun, carefree, and non-stressful.

Teresa Gosney
Co-Owner and Photographic Retouch Specialist

Teresa provides assistance in the daily operations of the studio in addition to being a stay at home mom. She has a talent for making our clients look their best in the retouching, color correction, and cropping of the images that Ken captures. As Ken’s wife, she knows exactly what his vision is, and works hard to make each image the outstanding photograph that our clients expect and deserve.

Teresa was raised in Blanchester and met Ken in yearbook class in 1994. Her previous experience in the fields of customer service, accounting, and management help her provide a variety of services and assistance to Ken. Teresa received her photographic retouching training from her husband, Ken.

Supporting Staff

Niki Coyne
Wedding Assistant and Wedding Specialist

Niki’s role at the studio is to assist Ken on the many weddings that he has each year. She aids with posing of the clients, watching for the small details that cannot be overlooked, and photographs each ceremony and reception. She provides the necessary help that Ken needs so that he can dedicate his time to the bride, groom and other important members of the wedding. Niki’s other contribution to the studio is her ability to create the images that Ken desires through the cropping, color correction, and retouching of the many images. She takes the images that Ken creates on the wedding day, and brings out their full potential through the unique style of computer imaging that she was trained with by Ken.

A 1997 graduate of Wilmington High School, Niki earned a degree from Wilmington College in 2002. She and her husband Ben are the proud parents of Jacob and Addison. The Coyne family resides in the Wilmington area.

Helen Sexson
Part-time Studio Receptionist

Helen is a part-time associate here at Ken Gosney Photography. Her duties are to help in the daily operation of the studio in the absence of Ken and Teresa. She fulfills the duties of customer service and other office duties.

Helen is the mother of Ken and his sister Paula, and a grandmother of 4. She and her husband Howard live in the Blanchester area.

McKena Gosney
Future Owner and Daddy's Little Helper

McKena is the daughter of Ken and Teresa, and at the age of four already thinks she runs the show. She says that when she grows up she will not only run the studio, but be a “baby Doctor” as well.

McKena loves to have her picture taken by her Daddy, so you will see a lot of her shots in our portfolio. She is a true model!

It is Ken and Teresa’s hope that one day they can pass the studio on to their children.
